| HC issues notice to the Authority for canceling petitioner’s papers | | | JAMMU, JULY 28- Justice YP Nargotra of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Jammu wing, in a petition filed by petitioner against cancellation of her papers under unfair means, issued notice to J and K Board of Technical Education returnable within four weeks with the direction to Adv PN Raina appearing for the petitioner to take necessary steps for service of the respondents. Petitioner Ridhima Saproo appeared in 3rd year final diploma examination from Government Polytechnic for Woman, Jammu, in electronics and communication engineering. The result of the examination was declared on March 29, 2007 and result of the petitioner was withheld. On the enquiry it has been shown that all her papers in which she had appeared stood cancelled. This notification has been issued as per the decision of examination committee which had awarded punishment to the students who had been booked under unfair means. Petitioner could not believe herself as she had never even resorted to any unfair means nor had been booked under any such unfair means. The petitioner submitted a notice on May 7, 2007 to the respondent, requesting review of the notification and exclusion of her name from the said notification. The notice was sent under registered postal cover with a copy to Principal Women Polytechnic College Jammu. Despite notice nothing has been done and hence filed this petition seeking quashment of the notification regarding cancellation of her paper
