| PDP goes tech savvy | | | Jammu, July 28: On its foundation day, the Peoples Democratic Party today became the first mainstream political party of Jammu and Kashmir to launch a website for the global audience.
The official website of the party, www.jkpdp.com was launched by the party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on the occasion of its foundation day celebrations in Srinagar today.
Interestingly, the only visible faces on the party's web site, besides Mufti and Mehbooba are the self rivals Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Ghulam Hassan Mir. The front page of the website carries at the top pictures of Mufti Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti while on the side panel there are two photographs of Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Ghulam Hassan Mir.
Except a list which includes the names of party office bearers and legislators, no other senior party leader, except Baig and Mir, figures on the website. It may be mentioned here that Baig and Mir are perhaps the only two leaders who launched revolt against the party at different points of time.
Commenting on the presence of the duo on the website, a Mufti loyalist senior PDP leader said, "this is only how these two (Baig and Mir) can be kept happy for the while".
