Girls maintain supremacy in graduation

Girls maintained their supremacy in Science, Commerce and Arts faculties in BA/BSc/BCom Part final examinations, the result of which were declared this evening by the University of Jammu.
Total 11,669 students had appeared in the part III exams out of which 7479 students have passed the examination. Overall percentage of the final year result was 64 percent.
Number of distinctions secured in different streams was 109 out of which science stream shared most by having 90 distinctions, 11in BCA, 5 in commerce and 3 in BBA.
Girls bagged six positions in sciences and seven in commerce and five in arts leaving behind just one top slot for boy in arts.
Akansha Kalsotra, a student of Govt College for Women, Parade bagged prestigious first position in science faculty securing 86.24 per cent marks. She was followed by Mridul of GGM Science College, who took 83.15 per cent marks. GGM Science College student, Kamini Kapoor, bagged third position in Science scoring 82.66 per cent marks.
Neha Jain student of Govt College for Women, Parade Ground bagged first position in Commerce stream by securing 79.52 marks while Rahul Bagati and Loveneesh Kapoor students of SPMR Rajput Commerce College bagged second and third position securing 77.91 and 76.34 percent marks respectively.
Rana Ravinder Singh of Govt MAM College topped the merit-list in Arts faculty with 74.42 per cent marks. Shaheen Izaz of SVNS Degree College Sunder Bani claimed second position by securing 73.45 percent marks while Aradhan Sharma of GCW Gandhi Nagar secured third position securing 72.60 percent marks. Fourth Position was secured by Sheetal Bali of GCW Parade by claiming 71.51 percent marks. Sixth and Seventh position was secured by Azra Khatoon and Sushma Chaudhary of SVNS degree College Sunder Bani and Govt Degree College Kathua. Govt. Women College Students Saldhna Necleen and Swati Sharma bagged eight and ninth position. While the tenth position in Arts was secured by Izaz Ahmad of SVNS Degree College Sunder Bani.
Fourth and fifth position in Science faculty went to Avtar Changotra and Shruti Bhardwaj students of Govt. Degree College Kathua who had 82.66 and 81.73 per cent marks. Sourabh Sharma and Mahek Tufchi both students of GGM Science College, Jammu clinched sixth and seventh positions in Science taking 81.57 and 81.51 per cent marks respectively. Eight and Ninth position in Science was shared by Sachinjeet Singh and Abhishekh Gupta of Govt Degree College, Kathua with both of them claiming 81.39 and 81.27 per cent marks tenth position was bagged by Shivanjali Kotwal of Women College Parade by securing 81.21 percent marks..
Savitha Chauhan, Swati Gupta, Ravnish, Surbhi Dubey, Akriti Oswal and Nitu Sinha secured fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh eighth and tenth positions in Commerce faculty taking 75.53, 75.00, 74.43, 74.39, 73.95 and 73.78 marks respectively. They were students of Govt College for Women, Parade Ground. Amrinder Singh of SPMR Rajput Commerce College secured ninth position by securing 73.91percent marks.
