Police raids chemists shop, recovers intoxicant medicines

Police on specific information, along with Magistrate and Tehsildar of area, conducted a raid on a chemist shop at Ramgarh and recovered large quantities of intoxicant medicines which were being sold by the chemist without proper licence. Police has registered a case in this regards and booked the chemist. According to SDPO Abrar Choudhary, police got complaints from local people of the area that some chemists were selling intoxicants medicines to the youth of the area. Police after getting information, conducted the raids and recovered intoxicants medicines and booked a chemist in this regard. He added that to sell the intoxicant medicines including Corex and Proxiovon, chemists have to obtain a proper licence from Drug Controller and sell it only against proper prescription given by doctors.
