Threats to non-Kashmiris to leave valley a serious matter: Prof Gupta
7/30/2007 11:48:08 PM

Early Times Reporter
Jammu July 30,
Voicing grave concern over the threats by certain secessionist and controversial characters to the labours to leave Kashmir, the former Union Minister and a senior leader of the BJP, Prof .Chaman Lala Gupta has impressed upon the government authorities to proceed under law of the land before it is too late.
Sharply reacting in issuing of fatwas and threats to the laborers and other non state subjects by the leaders of Hurriyat and others leave the valley of Kashmir in a very serious development and as such these threats could have reaction in other parts of the country.
Gupta said such threats are part of a major mischief and authorities must proceed under law to nip the evil in the bud, he added and expressed surprise till date no action has been taken and the hopeless laborers and some others are migrating from the valley in distress.
While lashing over congress leadership and its allies, Prof. Gupta recalled that about two years age during BJP agitation over the issue of massacres as Kulhand and Basantgarh the BJP national secretary, Vinay Kitayar had simply announced to honour and reward those civilians who would take upon the terrorists, the coalition Govt. of the state registered a FIR against him but on the other hand no notice is being taken against those who are openly preaching hatred and threatening Indians from other parts of the country to leave Kashmir failing which they would have to face the dire consequences.
He said criminal can be anywhere and one can do wrong at any place but there are laws to deal with such persons. It was strange after one incident in which some Kashmir’s were also allegedly involved, the entire labour and other non-state subjects are being threatened to vacate this state. It is height of insensibility that the congress led coalitions, both in the state as also at the centre, are maintaining criminal silence over which a serious situation.
Prof. Gupta said that since the congress has taken over the regions of power of the coalition, the anti-national activities have assumed new proportions and the party high command is trying to pamper those indulging in raising slogans like reduction of troops, self rule, and healing touch for the families of killed terrorist.
