| America calls Mufti | | | Early Times REPORTER Jammu, July 30: With growing American interest and intervention in Kashmir, the United States of America has enlisted the Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed among the 40 key speakers from both countries in a conclave on Indo-US relations being held in Florida in September. According to an official statement of PDPMufti Mohammad Sayeed has been invited to address the Global Leaders Conference in USA. The Conference is being hosted by the former US Defense Secretary, William S Cohen from September 14 to 16 this year under the aegis of Howard Gilman Foundation. A select group of 40 leaders from government, politics, diplomacy, policy making, military, academia, media and business from India and USA will be participating in the three day event at White Oak Florida to deliberate on the future of Indo-US relations. The objective of the Conference is to provide a platform to the global leaders to discuss their perspective on key current and emerging regional, global, security and cultural issues. The other key participants at the Conference include former US President, Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher, Under Secretary of State Nicholas Burns, Former Us Ambassador to India Frank Wisner, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit, Minister for Civil Aviation Praful Patel, Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar, Army Chief Gen J J Singh, Member Parliament Rahul Gandhi, Former Foreign Secretary Salman Haider, CEO Ethen Allen Group Farooq Kathwari, Member Parliament Arun Jaitley, Member Parliament Prakash Karat, Lawyer Fali Nariman, CEO Wipro Azim Premji, NDTV Chief Prannoy Roy, Member Parliament Arun Shourie, Member Parliament Jaswant Singh and business tycoons Anil Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata and Vijay Mallya. It is in place to mention that last year Sayeed attended the United Nations General Assembly session at New York in September-October as the Head of the Indian delegation.
