Haji Mohammad Alyas Khan, a senior leader of state BJP, was nominated as state president of BJP Muslim Morcha by the party president Ashok Khajuria here today.
Haji Alyas, resident of Mendhar of district Poonch, is associated with BJP for the last more than 14 years and served the party in various capacities, besides a member of BJP executive committee.
Being a prominent political activist, Haji Alyas is a well known social figure of his area and in recognition of his selfless service to the society he was awarded Bharat Jyoti Award by India Internationalist Movement and Vikas Ratna Award.
