Early Times reporter Jammu July 31, 2007 Terming the ‘Roshni Act’, recently passed by the state government, as a controversial Act, Bhartiya Janta Party workers today staged a protest demonstration here today. The protest demonstration was organized by the party’s, Janipur West Mandal, and led by the mandal president, Rakesh Gupta and general secretary, Pradhuman Singh. On the occasion, the protestors also burned the effigy of the coalition government. During the protest, Yudhvir Sethi, state secretary of the party, alleged that this act was passed only for the interest of those ‘Blue eyed’ land grabbers, which has grabbed most part of the state land illegally. He further added that this act has became a “Diwali Gift’ for these peoples.
