| Protest against ‘mass-exodus’ staged | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 31 Shiv Sena Jammu today staged protest against the alleged anti democratic policies of the state government. They also burned the effigy of the govt alleging that it has failed in maintaining the democratic norms in Kashmir Valley. Addressing the rally Ashok Gupta, General Secretary of the Shiv Sena in his address said that initially Kashmiri Pandit were forced to leave the Kashmir Valley by the anti national elements, Hurriyat leaders and militants outfits and now labourers from the UP and Bihar have been threatened to leave Kashmir on the same pattern. He added that on one hand Azad claims that secularism prevails in Kashmir and is inviting Kashmiri migrants to settle there, but on the other hand militant outfits are proving their upper hand in the Valley by giving specific call of forcing the non-state subjects to leave the Kashmir Valley. Meanwhile Janta party also held a protest demonstration on the similar issue. The protestors were demanding stern action against the separatists, which are asking non-kashmiris to leave Kashmir, for no cause. The protest was led by State President, Janta Party, Som Nath Dabogtra. On the occasion, the protestors also torched the effigies of some militant organizations.
