| Most wanted Pakistani militant killed in encounter | | Active from last ten years | | Doda | Aug 1 A joint party of police and army today killed a HM Divisional commander in an encounter at Nagni nullah area in Doda and also recovered some ammunition and some other important documents from his possession. According to reports on a tip off about presence of some terrorists in the area a joint party of Doda police and 10 RR launched a search operation in the area. During search an encounter took place between militants and searching party. In the ensuing encounter one militant namely Abid Hussain Basra code Zargam code Hayat set code K-2 son of Mohammed Ismail Basra resident of Rahimyarkhan, Punjab, Pakistan and Divisional commander of HM outfit got killed. One AK rifle, three magazines, 37 rounds, one binocular, one hand grenade, two identity cards and one pouch was recovered from the spot. Sources said the slain militant was active in the district for the last about 10 years and involved in number of heinous militancy related activities like killing of innocent civilians , attacks on security forces, police, VDC’s , rape, lootings etc. He was also involved in the killing of Abdul Gani and Samina Begum father- in- law and mother- in- law respectively of one surrendered militant Mohammed Amin at Bajja Chiralla on March 10 last year and killing of Mohammed Ayoub son of Jaber Khan, resident of Mundeli, Chilli on April 16 this year. Sources said he had inducted many youths in militancy and sent them to Pakistan for arms training. He was a dreaded militant and had created a reign of terror in the whole of District Doda. He was looking after all the operations, finance, recruitment, infiltration, ex filtration for HM, recycling of surrender and arrested and released militants. He was the only foreign militant of HM outfit active in the district and his neutralization is considered to be the severe set back to the HM cadre in the district great achievement for the security forces
