| 4 Tourists die, 12 suffer injuries | | |
Ramban, August 02 : Four tourists died and twelve others including some students from Bihar sustained injuries on Thursday after a mini bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Sherbibi on Jammu Srinagar Highway about twenty five kilometres from here .
All the four tourists who died in the accident were from Bihar.
Eyewitnesses told KMT that the ill-fated minibus fell into over two hundred feet gorge after the driver failed to negotiate a sharp slippy curve.
Police and Army personnel with the help of local people launched the rescue operation immediately after the accident.
Police said that all the injured have been evacuated and admitted in the Banihal Hospital, while police has taken the bodies of the dead in its custody
