| VC inaugurates scholars’ room for Dogri Department | | |

Vice Chancellor University of Jammu Prof Amitabh Mattoo inaugurated a Scholars room of the Dogri Department in University campus here today
Director, Colleges Development Dr. Meenakshi Kilam was the guest of honor on the occasion.
Prof. Archana Kesar HOD Dogri Department in her welcome address thanked the Prof Matto and D. Kilam for the support given to the department, She said that number of the students from this department got gainful jobs in different departments in the last two years. She also thanked DR. Kilam for presenting the proposal of introducing Dogri as teaching subject in curriculum of B.ED Course.
Vice Chancellor in his address announced that Research Scholars would be provided with computers with in a week’s time. He congratulated the Head, staff and Research Scholars for the scholars’ room and wished that they will make the best use of it. He also assured that in future his support would remain with the Department of Dogri also.
Sunil Sharma of the department in his vote of thanks expressed gratitude of the VC and Dr Kilam for providing additional infrastructural facilities to the department and inclusion of Dogri in B.Ed curriculum.
Others present on the occasion were Dean Academic Affairs BPS Sehgal, Joint Registrar Sanjeev Mahajan, Dean Student Welfare Dr. PS Pathania and scholars of the department
