| Estate Employees hold protest demonstration | | |

To press its long demands the employees of the Estates Department organized a protest demonstration here today. President, All Jammu and Kashmir Estate Employees Association, Prem Singh Bawa and the General Secretary, Yuvraj Bhatti also joined the protestors. The rally which started from the Mubarak Mandi complex and passing through the main bazaars finally culminated in the front of its Divisional Office complex at Mubarik Mandi.
Addressing the protestors Prem Singh alleged that the department was giving step motherly treatment as a result of which the long pending demands of the employees have remain unresolved despite lapse of considerable time.
He said that the employees would continue to press their demands till these are conceded by the government .The employees, among other things, are demanding regularization of Daily wagers, provision of tool kits, uniforms and time bound promotions.
