| SAI to organize sports camp | | |

Sports Authority of India,(SAI) today announced to organize sports camp in the city of temples beginning from August 5.
The announcement to this effect was made by Regional Director, SAI, S S Rai at a press conference here today.
He said the SAI has decided to open its first ever sports camp in the temple town to search for the available sports talent in the region. He said the camp commencing from August 5 will select talented sports persons and help improve their talent to enable them to compete at national and international sports activities.. Apart from imparting training to the selected persons, he said, the SAI would also provide scholarships, financial aid and free kits. He said that talent search is for the games like “Foot ball and Basket Ball”.
He said a similar camp was organized at Udhampur, which about 100 children took part and of these 50 were selected for the football event. He said during the training period the selected candidates were provided all facilities including hostels
