| Courts directs respondents to allow petitioners to appear in exam | | | JAMMU, AUGUST-02- Justice Nirmal Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu wing has directed Principal Government B Ed College Jammu to send the forms of the petitioners to the University for allowing them to appear in the examination. This will be subject to the result of the petitions and will not confer any right upon the petitioners, the Court ordered. This direction was passed in a petition filed by Vijay Kumari and others who have applied for the admission for the B.Ed training course. A select list was published by the respondents in which names of the petitioners figured on the recommendation made by the Board of Professional Entrance Examination. The petitioners got admission and deposited the fee, but subsequently their admission was cancelled on the plea that there was mistake in applying the key to the series. High Court allowed the petitioners to continue with the B.Ed course, those who have already deposited the fee. Again the petitioners moved CMP seeking directions to the Principal Government College B.Ed Jammu to accept their forms and sent the same to the University. Court after hearings Advocates Onkar Seth, Surinder Kour, Nirmal Kotwal, SK Anand and Anil Khajuria appearing for the petitioners and Sr. Adv DC Raina appearing for the BOPEE and Additional Advocate General BS Salathia appearing for the state respondents, allowed the petitioners to fill-up the forms and on filling-up the forms, the Principal Government B.Ed college Jammu will send the same to the University for allowing the petitioners in the examination. In the meanwhile Respondents State through Chief Secretary, Chairman BOPEE and others may file their counters. In case the petitioners want to file supplementary affidavits, they can also file the same within a period of one week
