| CCI ponders over trans-Loc trade | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu Aug 3 A committee, constituted by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) to monitor the progress on the demand raised by the chamber regarding opening of trade routes between Nowshehra-Mirpur and Suchetgarh-Sialkot sector, met here under the Chairmanship of Ram Sahai to analyze the response of Pakistan’s commerce secretary Sayeed Asif Shah in which he had responded to Jai Ram Ramesh, Minister of state for commerce’s suggestions probing that weather trade can be carried through LoC. According to a communiqué from the chamber, it feels that when agreement is to allow the bulk operation and also target for bilateral trade is being increased to 10 billion dollars, the routes between Nowshehra-Mirpur and Suchetgarh-Sailkot should be opened without any delay so as to facillate both the government to create proper infrastructure in their respective areas. In the meeting it was further demanded that the trade should not be limited to few items only, rather all the items previously identified should be included in the list.
