| Congress leaders hail Govt. decision | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

The state government decision to enhance honorarium to the representatives of Municipal Corporation and committees have been welcomed by the Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committees, Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma and MLC Arvinder Singh Micky. In their separate press statement leaders have congratulated the Chief Minister and said it will go a long way for strengthening the democratic institutions at the grass root level.
The Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson has described it a right decision. He said it will facilitate the elected representatives to discharge their duties with full devotion, beside will strengthen the basic democratic institutions in the state.
Member Parliament, Jammu- Poonch parliamentary constituency Madan Lal Sharma has hailed the decision of the state government and said this step will result into better performances of their duties. Sharma said the decision of the state coalition Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. He also said various decisions for the best interest of working class including Ret teachers and SPOs is a praiseworthy step. Sharma has demanded enhancement of monthly salary for the namberdars and chokidars be enhanced.
MLC Local bodies of Jammu Province Arvinder Singh Micky in his statement to have welcomed the Azads Government historical decision in enhancing monthly honorarium to the Corporators and councilors of Jammu & Kashmir.
Singh has assured the Chief Minister that the Corporators and councilors will do their best to upgrade the living standards of people by providing them best civic amenities to the people.
