| Natrang adds another chapter to Indian Theatre; Balwant | | Expresses gratitude to all those who made it possible’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu August 3, 2007 Natrang has added one more chapter in the history of Indian theatre by featuring 17 plays in just fifteen days in the theatre festival which concluded here recently. The successful conclusion of the historic event would not have been possible without the active support and cooperation of the people of the Jammu region, said Balwant Thakur Director Natrang while addressing media persons here today. Thakur said featuring seventeen plays during the fortnight long festival witnessed by thousands of art lovers has created a history for Jammu and Kashmir in Indian Theatre. To make the event successful and entertaining, Thakur said that our artists had to work day and night adding that it took about 25 years to make this happen. ‘No one can visualize that how much effort has gone to make this highly impossible task as possibility’, he said adding that earlier 25 plays were planned but due to various factors, including the non availability of hall for all these days, we could not do so. Natrang Director expressed his gratitude to all those who helped in making the event successful and had a special praise of Dr Rafeeq Masood, Secretary Cultural Academy, Mahesh Chopra Director Door Darshan Jammu, R S Chib,MLC, AIR, LIC, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry, electronic and print besides several other organizations and individuals for extending whole hearted cooperation to the Natrang .hers.
