| POK writers stress for promotion of Gojri language | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu August 4, 2007 Renowned Gojri Writers of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, during their visit to Jammu and Kashmir have stressed for the promotion of the Gojri language in the State. In the interaction program organized by Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, the visiting writers interacted with the writers of various Indian languages and exchanged views on the on going peace process to bridge the gap between two main countries of the sub-continent. Secretary Academy Dr Rafeeq who was the chief guest on the occasion highlighted the steps being taken by the Academy to promote the Gojri language in Jammu and Kashmir. The visiting PoK writers Shabir Afaqui and Mukhlis Wajadani appreciated the steps taken by the Academy to promote Gojri language and culture in the sub-continent. On this occasion, Gulam Rasol Asghar, renowned Gojri novelist demanded inclusion of the Gojri language in the Indian Constitution and University curricula.
