| ET's Delhi rep Kak passes away | | | Jammu, Aug 4: B.L. Kak veteran Journalist and EARLY TIMES' New Delhi bureau chief passed away late tonight. He was 64. One of the widely respected and most experiences journalists of Jammu and Kashmir having worked with a variety of media concerns, Kak was associated with EARLY TIMES since last year. Kak passed away after a brief illness in a Delhi hospital. He was 64 and is survived by his wife and two daughters. He joined Journalism in 1961 and worked for many reputed dailies like Amrit Bazaar Patriks, The Hindu, The News Today, The Week, The AIR, Malayalam Manoharama, and two daily English news paper of Jammu. At present he was bureau chief of Early Times in New Delhi . He was younger brother of M.L. Kak of Tribune. He also authored five books including The Fall of Gilgit and Chasing Shadow of Ladakh. Cremation will be held tomorrow at New Delhi. On hearing about Mr Kak's death a special prayer was held at the EARLY TIMES office where two-minute silence was observed to pray for the departed soul. Early Times conveys its deep sympathies to his bereaved family and prays for eternal peace to the departed soul.
