| Challan against murder accused presented | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

The Crime Branch, here, presented challan against two accused in the murder case of one Ravinder Kumar, of Old-Basti, Bahu Fort, in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Forest, Jammu today, said a release issued by the said agency.
Having received an in-put on 12/5/06 at about 08.20 hours that a male corpse was lying near Saryara Sabha bath –room, situated at Press Morh Bagh-e- Bahu, ASI Dharam Kumar posted at P/S, there, found the reports true after spot verification, the release said adding that the body was identified as that of one Ravinder Kumar @ Mammu S./O Nand Lal R/O Old –Basti Bahu – Fort and was bearing injuries inflicted by a sharp edged weapon on its neck and mouth, indicating it to be an act of some unknown person with criminal intention and the same had been thrown on the backside of the said bath room.
An instant case having been registered, further investigation was handed over to Crime Branch Jammu, which found involvement of accused Vinod Kumar @ Jumbo and Sushil
Kumar @ Nikka Sons of Dev Raj R/O Old Basti Bahu Fort, the release further said adding that the accused were arrested U/S 302/ 34 RPC, and the weapon of offence recovered on their disclosure. After connecting the accused with the crime, a prima facie offence was established, under above-mentioned sections, on the basis of the eyewitnesses and forensic evidence. The Challan was presented in the court of CJM Forest, today.
