Arrangements for celebration of Independence Day were finalized in a meeting of Sub Divisional level officers held at Padum under the Chairmanship of Sub Divisional magistrate, Zanaskar Ghulam Rasool Wani.
The meeting was told that main function would be held at Helipad at 10 AM where some VIP will unfurl the National Flag and will take the salute of the parade followed by cultural programme from the students of various government and private educational institutions and Information Centre Zanskar.
The SDM, Zanskar, directed the Sub Divisional Officers to ensure the full proof arrangements and exhorted upon the officers to ensure their presence along with their staff on the occasion.
