Security has been further beefed up and special Nakas laid in the entire border felt of R S Pura to check any attempt by the militants to disturb the Independence Day celebrations.
According to the reports following militant threats additional forces including policemen in civil dress have been deployed at sensitive places to thwart the terrorists plans.
Special nakas have also been laid while every passerby is being thoroughly frisked.
SDPO R S Pura Atul Goel told Early Times that night patrolling has been intensified in the entire sub district and close vigil is being kept on the anti-national and anti-social elements.
