| Shastri urges PM to release DA installment | | | Early Times Reporter

President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has appealed the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh take an early decision in releasing the pending installment of 6% D.A due from July this year in favour of the employees in view of sharp increase in the prices of the essential commodities.
Addressing NMC workers rally here today, Shastri while giving facts and figures about the price hike said the price index, which was 5.69% in December 31st 2006, has increased to 5.84% by end of June last.
The meeting also adopted several resolutions seeking release of 23 months salary of motivators working in the IWDP project Akhnoor, regularization of daily wagers.
