| 4 kg charas,12 kg booki seized | | Police busts drug mafia, two apprehended | | SAMBA AUG 11 Police today busted a drug mafia, arrested two persons and recovered charas and Bhooki from their possession. The hunt for their third accomplice is on. On specific information Samba Police teams headed by SDPO DSP Abrar Chowdhary, SHO Varinder Singh and Incharge Police Post Supwal Sub Inspector Sanjeev Chib under the supervision of SSP Border Rajinder Gupta laid nakas at two different places to apprehend the culprits involved in illicit trade. During search operation, the Police recovered 4 kg of charas and 12 kg of Booki worth lakhs of rupees in the international market from the possession of two persons who were immediately taken into custody. According to the reports the seized charas and bhooki was being transported by a Punjab based mafia group in TATA Vehicle No PB05H-9616 which was fabricated for goods supply. The two persons arrested have been identified as Rinku Grover son of Ram Sharan and Tarsem Singh son of RamAmrit Singh both residents of Ferozepur. While Rinku is running a photography shop and Tarsem is apparently a transport manager and under the garb of it they are running a drug mafia transporting drugs from Srinagar and selling these in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi . The reports said that main source to whom they used to supply huge consignments of drugs was located in Delhi and is still elusive while Police is on search to trap him. The reports said though having luxury cars available to them they prefer transport carrier vehicles for this clandestine trade to evade police action.
