| 287 lakhs earmarked for Kargil under BADP | | |

An amount of Rs 287 lakhs have been earmarked under Border Area Developmental programme (BADP) of the district during the year 2007-08 out of which Rs. 130 lakh are meant for Kargil block while Rs. 90 lakh for Drass block and Rs. 57 lakh for Shakar-Chiktan Block.
This information was given in a joint meeting of councilors and district officers held today under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Haji Asgar Ali Karbalaie here today.
The meeting also reviewed the pace of developmental activities registered during the current financial year and priority was given on spill over schemes. It was also revealed in the meeting that an amount of Rs. 377.31 lakhs have been spent on various developmental programmer during the last fiscal year.
Among those who attended the meeting includes Councilors Nasir Hussain Munshi, Haji Mohd Isaq, Kacho Gulzar Hussain Khan, Superintending Engineer, PWD Kargil, Executive Engineer and Chief Planning Officer.
