| Rains expose potholes | | |

Jammu, Aug 6: Exposing the claims of construction and maintenance agencies the heavy rainfall that lashed city since early this morning choked the drainage system and gave way to potholes in the roads and streets.
Though it was a respite for Jammuites that rains fell following humid and hot weekend, but the intensity of rains exposed the concrete beneath tarcoal of the roads particularly on outskirts of the city.
Heavy downpour of rains started from wee hours today giving some relief to Jammuites from humidity. Normal life come to stand still with roads blocked and drains chocked with water.
School, college going students and the employees were worst hit by these monsoon showers on the first day of the week. Students and employees of both private and government were seen carrying umbrellas and wearing rains coats.
