Lal Singh convenes public grievance redressal meet

KATHUA, AUGUST 06 Saying that the present coalition government is committed to bring transparency in whatever work is executed so as to provide much needed relief to the people of the state, Member Parliament Doda-Udhampur Constituency, Ch. Lal Sing assured to render all possible assistance to mitigate the sufferings of inhabitants.
The MP was speaking at a public grievance redressal meeting convened at Kathua every month. Mr. Singh said that the purpose of conducting public meetings is not only to solve the basic problems of people moreover to redress their grievances on the spot. He said people themselves have witnessed tremendous development in every sector during past few years as their dreams have been cherished. He said the areas that remained neglected, ignored over the years have been accorded due consideration and the inhabitants provided opportunity to involve themselves in the mainstream.
Giving details about the development works executed Mr. Singh said that Rs. 71.41 crore has been sanctioned for bridge over river Ravi in Basohli which is being constructed by Border Road Organization. He added that Ujh project has been considered viable for power production, irrigation and drinking water and with this project area of kandi belt will get the minimum benefit.
Regarding the newsitem published in a section of press pertaining to manhandling by some miscreants, Mr. Singh clarified that no such incident ever occurred and this was only a propaganda by some vested interests. He asserted that such false and baseless reports would never hamper his mission to serve the people. He said public is well aware of my work and are satisfied with my functioning ways.
MLA Basohli Mrs. Kanta Andotra apprised about the development works under execution and those executed in the constituency. She said long pending demands of the inhabitants have been conceded. She assured to highlight other issues before the higher authorities for due consideration.
