| PMGSY implementation reviewed at Doda | | |

District Development Commissioner Doda, Mr Sourab Bhagat today took a meeting to chalk out strategies for implementation of Mega Rural Roads Connectivity programme under Prime Minister Grameen Sadak Yojna for Doda district.
The meeting deliberated upon various issues pertaining to hassle free execution of number of roads in the district which stand taken up for execution earlier by the PWD, their fresh assignments under PMGSY programme, conducting of joint services by revenue, forest and PMGSY authorities, widening of Bhadarwah-Chamba road, tentative papers for various new and old link roads as per new specification.
The roads discussed were Malhati to Gajoral, Bella-Panthe road, Malhati to Duggi, Behata-Byanni with their estimations, administrative approval, and joint survey.
It was decided that Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda shall monitor the progress of construction of the roads in close liaison with PMGSY authorities In addition, ACR Doda and SDM Bhadarwah, Gandoh shall complete the revenue papers of road projects coming under PMGSY Phase-VI programme in the district, the meeting was informed. Similarly, joint survey shall also be conducted on Changa-Jati road in Gandoh with all formalities completed by Ist September 2007.
The meting was attended by the senior functionaries of PMGSY Batote-Udhampur Circle, SEs PWD, ADC, ACR Doda, SDM Bhadarwah/Gandoh and other concerned officers of other departments
