| Electioneering for CCBL at high pitch | | Dinesh Gupta makes last minutes efforts to win voters | | Jammu Aug 7- With just four days left for the scheduled elections of the Citizens’ Cooperative Bank, the electioneering has reached to a high pitch. The aspiring candidates for the posts of Directors of the Bank are making last minute efforts to win voters in their favour. Shareholders of the Bank along side the trading community and others have joined hands to ensure victory of Dinesh Gupta, former CCLB Chairman and his team in the forthcoming Bank elections scheduled for August 11. According to reports, over 200 odd shareholders and prominent people are actively campaigning for the election of Gupta and his team. During his visit to R S Pura, Gupta and his team were introduced to the voters and a consensus decision was taken to elect the team with a huge margin. Amidst raising slogans, the jubilant people later escorted Gupta and his team to Devidwara, the venue of the election rally. Speaking on the occasion, Gupta assured that, if elected, he would make all out efforts for further development of the bank and its shareholders and the employees. He asked the share holders to extend him and his team whole hearted support and ensure landslide victory of the team. Gupta is also reported to have addressed similar meetings at Paloura and other places. Addressing the election rallies former Chairman of the Bank Balbir Singh Manhas said that the team led by Gupta has a proven track record of development of the bank.. Arun Gupta, Kailash Langar, Narinder Kumar Gupta, Narinder Singh(Kolo), Parmod Kumar Kapai, Shashi Paul Vaid and Suresh Kumar Abrol, who are seeking election to the Board, also addressed the election rallies.
