| DSW organizes a programme Ek Mulaqat | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 7 Department of student welfare (DSW), University of Jammu organized a programme Ek Mulaqat with Dr. Sabar Afaqi, Internationally Renowned Gujari Scholar and Ch. Mukhils Wajdani, eminent Gojri poet and broadcaster both from POK at the University campus. The function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Amitabh Matto while GS Sambyal was the special guest on the occasion. Mattoo in his address said that people to people contact shall bring peace and harmony between the countries. He further said that to know the problems of each other , it is imperative to learn the language of each other. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Afaqi said that there is no conflict between the elements of the nature. He said that the hearts of the people from both side today beat for each other. Appreciating the peace loving people of Jammu, he described it as beautiful city and the land of poets and writer. Shah Nawaz , astudent of Law School , University of Jammu speaking on the occasion appreciated the Prof. Mattoo for initiating a number of the schemes for the welfare of the gujjars as well as for their education including providing computers, scholarships and extension centres. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. NR Sharma, Chairman, Campus and Cultural Committee.
