| Security beefed up | | Vulnerable spots, unauthorized parking lots remain unattended’ | | ‘
Jammu Aug-7- To ensure incident free celebrations of this year Independence Day celebrations and other ensuing religious functions, the security is being further beefed up in Jammu region especially in the temple city The authorities are leaving nothing to chance and have made elaborate security arrangements and men in strength have been deployed at sensitive points, special nakas laid to check each passing vehicle besides frisking the people. But the fact remains that most of the vulnerable spots like unauthorized parking is being paid little attention and no security arrangements are being made around these parking lots.
Though there is still a week to celebrate the Independence Day yet the forces have laid special nakas and started checking vehicles and frisking the people on the main roads and highways but little attention is being to the most vulnerable spots as also the unauthorized parking lots, thus giving an ample chance to ultras strike at their sweet will.
If the authorities are sincere to ensure peaceful celebrations of these festivals, it must rise to the occasion and provide adequate at the parking lots besides bus, taxi stands, historic Mubarak Mandi complex and other such vital installations.
As these parking slots are unauthorized and no body is serious about the security risks being faced by the people residing nearby. Being close to the thickly populated areas, these unauthorized parking lots could be the main target of the ultras. The authorities must give a thought to it this aspect as well. It should also ensure that no unclaimed vehicle is parked in these unmanned parking lots
