Four youth nabbed with fake certificate in recruitment rally

Army today arrested four youth during recruitment rally at Barjani area in Bari Brahamna with fake education certificate issued from Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKSBOSE) and handed over them to Bari Brahmna police for further verification.
According to sources today during the recruitment rally in Barjani area under the jurisdiction of police station Bari Brahamna, the recruiting agency while checking the documents of the candidates noticed some fake documents of four youth and took them inside the camp for further verification. Sources said during proper scrutiny of the documents, senior army officers found the documents fake and called the police. All the four youth were into custody on the spot .They have been identified as Sanjeev Kumar son of Ram Lal resident of RS Pura, Sunil Dutt son of Kaku Ram resident of Planwala, Ajay Choudhary son of Ram Choudhary and Kuldeep Choudhary sons of Ashok Kumar resident of Gajansoo.
Sources said police has taken up the case with the BOSE to get these certificates verified .Sources further said that the four arrested youth during interrogation told police that an agent was involved in issuing fake qualification certificates adding that they had paid Rs.12,000 each to the said agent for obtaining these fake certificates. Not only this, the agent who took them to the recruitment rally had also assured employment in the army. The police is reported to have raided several locations to arrest the accused involved in fake certificate scandal.
In the meanwhile a large number of youth held a protest demonstration and blocked National Highway and resorted to stone pelting on army vehicles as they were not called for the interview for recruitment in army.
The striking candidates are reported to have disrupted traffic on the highway and damaged five army vehicles forcing police to resort to cane charging at Tarore to disperse the unruly youth.The situation, however, was brought under control
It may be recalled that the Army Recruiting Office Jammu had announced holding of recruitment rallies for appointment as Soldier (General Duty), Soldier (Technical) and Soldier (Clerk / Store Keeper) categories at Bari Brahmana (Jammu) from the August 5 to August 13 for the candidates hailing from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi and Doda districts and accordingly tokes were distributed to the eligible candidates. The protesting candidates who failed to make to the eligibility lodged a protest and disrupted traffic on Jammu-Panthankot highway besides damaging five army vehicles.
According to the schedule the recruitment of candidates hailing from Udhampur, Reasi and Doda district was held on August 5 while those hailing from Kathua and Samba district the recruitment rally was organized on August 6 and recruitment of Jammu district was taken up today.
