| NSUI wants transparent admission system | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER Jammu | Aug 8: National Student Union of India warned heads of the entire teaching department and higher authorities of Jammu University to adopt transparency in the ongoing admission process in their respective departments as students alleged doubts regarding the admission process and favoritism in various departments. NSUI State general secretary Varinder Singh Chib while addressing the media persons said that the authorities should abide by the status of Jammu University regarding the admission process. He also alleged that there is no coordination between various committees framed for the purpose of category seats in PG courses. Like last year a case of glaring irregularities in admission have brought to the notice higher authorities of Shiraz Ahmad Malik under NSS category as he has been denied admission in MBA department due to favoritism of authorities for Blue eyed students as the authorities are not deliberated not recognizing to one of his certificates . He further said that department of MBA has given three times to settle the case and also requested the Vice chancellor to play his positive role and show his strict vigil to the ongoing admission process and direct the Academic Affairs to take strict in all such case.
