| Adbi Kunj pays rich tributes to poet 'Noor Siddigi' | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu Aug 8: A multinational literary presided over by Rahat Hussain, a well known Urdu Poet was held at New Shastri Memorial, School Tallab Tillo K.K. Shakir eminent Punjai, urdu and Hindi Poet was the Guest of honour on the occasion.
Sham Talib, President Adbi Kunj while addressing the gathering paid rich tributes to the late poet Noor-ul-Zaman Siddigi 'Noor' on his 6th death anniversary. Talib Kashmiri, K.K Shakir and Rahat Husain also paid tributes to the late poet and threw detailed light on his poetic achievement and excellence. In the literary session, Talib Kashmiri presented his latest satirical short story titled "Rasta kaat Gaya" making a dig at the people believing in superstitions, Chander Ved Parkash read out a short sketch titled Bhashan concerning environment pollution.
The poetic session started with recitation of ghazals received live telephonically from Suresh Rahi, Ghulam Farooq Karnahi and Altaf Khaliq from Kupwara, Kashmir poems included Ayodhaya Rain Gamkhwar, Romesh Rahi, Talib Kashmiri, Satpal Sharma, Rajeshwar Bakri, P.V. Raval, Rajev Kumar, Jawant Singh, Daya Singh, Daya Ram Daya, Amit Gupta, Prem Chand and Sham Talib. Participants also prayed for the speedy recovery of Muni Lal Puri, an Active member of Adbi Kunj who is ailing for some time past.
The meet concluded with vote of thanks presented by Jaswant Singh who also spoke on the importance of 'Friendship day' on the occasion.
