| Fake certificate haul at Army rally | | Four more arrested today; total eight so far | | Govind Chouhan Jammu | Aug 8: The Army recruitment rally at Baribrahmna is attracting big crowds but fake educational qualification certificates still continues to be serious menace as the Army today detected four more such cases taking the total number to eight.
Sources said that the Army today again arrested four youth during recruitment rally at Barjani area in Bari Brahamna with fake education certificate issued from Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKSBOSE) and handed over them to Bari Brahmna police for further verification and after their arrest the tolls goes to eight.
According to sources after arrest of four youths yesterday with fake certificates army today again arrested four more youths with fake certificate issued by same agent during the recruitment rally in Barjani area under the jurisdiction of police station Bari Brahamna, the recruiting agency while checking the documents of the candidates noticed some fake documents of four youth and called the police. All the four youth were into custody on the spot and they have been identified as Amit Kumar son of Charan Dass resident of Arnia, Rinku Kumar son of Soudhagar Chand resident of Shahpur, RS Pura, Sohan Lal son of Rattan Chand resident of RS Pura and Sohan Lal son of Bishan Dass resident of Gajansoo. Sources further said that the four arrested youth during interrogation told police that an agent was involved in issuing fake qualification certificates adding that they had paid Rs.12, 000 each to the said agent for obtaining these fake certificates. Not only this, the agent who took them to the recruitment rally had also assured employment in the army.
Here is to be mention that yesterday police has also arrested four youths identified as Sanjeev Kumar son of Ram Lal resident of RS Pura, Sunil Dutt son of Kaku Ram resident of Planwala, Ajay Choudhary son of Ram Choudhary and Kuldeep Choudhary sons of Ashok Kumar resident of Gajansoo with fake certificates during recruitment rally. Police has registered a case under section 420,467,465,468,471 RPC under FIR No 69/2007 and investigating the matter.
Sources said police has taken up the case with the BOSE to get these certificates verified. Sources said they all during interrogation told police that agent name and a hunt was launched by police to nab the agent.
