doda, Jan 20: Krishi Vigyan Kendra SKUAST-J, Doda organized Kissan Goshti at Sansad Adarsh Gram Hambal, Doda focusing on "Jai Kissan Jai Vigyan" motto under the guidance of Directorate of Extension which was attended by the farmers of the village. According to press release, the programme was organized by Dr Narinder Paul, Scientist KVK Doda. Dr B. Brahma and Dr A.S. Charak were the resource persons. Others who attended the programme were Suresh Manhas Sarpanch Hambal, Manohal Lal Naib Sarpanch Battru, Kamal Singh Panch Kalota and Chief volunteers of KVK farmer clubs of Kaasal and Kalota. Dr Narinder Paul welcomed the participants and briefed them about major activities of KVK and objective of organizing Kissan goshti. During the technical session of kissan gosthi technical problems of the farmers were invited for their solution by the experts. On this occasion, farmers raised major queries pertaining to; time of sowing and fertilizer requirement in maize crop, problem of diseases in chilly crop, problem of aphid in mustard crop, organic farming, mineral requirement for animals, mastitis in milch animals, fodder requirement of milch animals, control of ecto-parasites and breeding problems in animals, neem coated urea and crop insurance scheme which were replied to the farmers' satisfaction and solutions suggested by the scientist from KVK Doda. |
