Poonch | Aug 8: The youth of border and hilly areas have been totally alienated by the coalition government said provincial president of National Conference (NC) Ajay Sadhotra at a one day convention of NC office bearers and delegates held here today.
He said coalition has ignored Poonch and Rajouri District in every sector and that is why the people have started demanding regional council for twin border districts. He asked the people to be united under the banner of National Conference for speedy development and strengthening secularism in the District.
On the occasion resolution was moved by District President Mohd Syeed Beig the services of Late Gh. Mohd. Jan was remembered and it was pledged that works which remained incomplete with the untimely sad demise of Jan would be completed. The Resolution said that Jan was not only a leader of Poonch but he worked for the people of the state and his services will be remembered forever.
Sadhotra who endorsed the resolution said the demise of Jan is also a loss to state and it becomes the duty of every dedicated worker to work hard to fill the vacuum created by the sad demise of Jan.
MLA Mushtaq Bukhari, Surankote also paid rich tributes to G.M Jan and emphasized the need work unitedly to strengthen the party.
Those who accompanied Sadhotra included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Kr. Rachpal Singh, Abdul Gani Malik, M.R. Qureshi and Ram Saroop.
