A deputation of Jammu Fruit Association and Jammu Fruit and Vegetable Association led by Ram Sahai, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industries Jammu met the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in connection with the problems arising out of APMC Act, which was earlier deferred for two months on the instructions of the Chief Minister. Mangat Ram Sharma, Health Minister had earlier strongly pleaded the case of the deputation.
The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and was kind enough in ordering the deferment of the APMC Act with immediate effect till his further orders, a hand out said.
