| Bhim demands judicial probe into Talwara cane charge | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu Aug 10
Launching a scathing attack on the Azad led coalition government for its failure in implementing the Apex Court decision on Talwara migrants, NPP Chairman Prof Bhim Singh alleged that the Government was working against the interests of Jammuites.
Addressing media persons here today Prof Singh said non-implementation of Supreme Court judgment for treating the Jammu migrants at par with those of the Kashmiri migrants' tentamounts contempt of Court. He said that the migrants have not been paid any kind of cash relief since March 2004 thus leaving them at the mercy of Almighty.
Regretting that despite Chief Minister's personal assurance to provide relief to these migrants, the authorities are reluctant to adhere to the Supreme Court directions as also the C M's assurance. 'If CM means business, he should act quickly and give up the policy of double speak.
He also condemned the brutal lathi charge on the Talwara migrants when they were on way to Delhi and held IGP Jammu responsible for it. He also demanded a judicial probe into the brutal lathi charge on hapless migrants. Accusing IGP for killing DSP Shally Singh, Singh described Azad as most 'corrupt politician'
'Congress is the mother of terrorism and the present Chief Minister is a big liar', Prof Singh remarked.
