| KP youth vow to play role in economic resurgence | | | Jammu, Aug 10: Kashmiri Pandit youths are now determined and capable to change the face of their own J&K state with their core competencies.
Vikram Bhat an IT entrepreneur told KIP on phone, that they are coming back with policies and objectives aimed at raising the economic profile of the state with emphasis on opportunity creation for the younger generations one of the organizers of this Summit also calls for a greater involvement of civil society at national and international level for tangibly contributing to the economic revival of the state of J&K, which has got destroyed during two decades of turbulence in valley, and will propose out of box solutions for economic prosperity and opportunity creation.
Bhat one of the organizers of this Summit told this news agency That Kashmiri Pandit entrepreneurs are holding an economic summit in New Delhi in September. It will bring together entrepreneurs, industrialists, executives in MNCs, scientists, and scholars. "The summit will be attended by state and central luminaries and will focus on the necessity to strengthen the partnership and to seek solutions for the future in which development, prosperity, opportunities and social security will play a central role",he added.
He said, "the organizers of this summit call for stronger economic engagement in the region to reduce the economic and social gaps as well as a reform-driven private-public partnership. They solicit state to use all their acquired experience to make state citizens realize that the organized civil society is the primordial tool for sustainable development and growth. Further, organizers will stress the crucial role of education, specifically for young people who are the harbingers of the prosperous change and will propose new growth oriented education policies compiled by eminent researchers and scholars under the leadership of Dr. Rajesh Bhat, a world renowned computer scientist

Media Coordinator Er.Rocky Pandita while talking to KIP, points out that the work for lasting peace in the region would not be successful without another important track; the promotion of the living conditions of the entire population and the sustainable development of the State, reversal of exodus with honour and dignity. He elaborates that the message to be conveyed through this summit is to address the need for a strong, pluralistic and enriching contribution by the civil society for the greater cause of the state. Organisers propose to promote inter-cultural and inter-civilisation dialogue.
According to him,Summit participants will examine in eight working sessions four essential elements for the development of the State: Combating poverty, Supporting young people through value added education, Economic revival and opportunity creation .Mr Rocky told that it would be first of its kind, an international KP Economic Summit is being organized in the capital by none else than the true sons and daughters of the kKashmir valley still living in exile for the seventeen years. During nineties, despite their families being devastated by fundamentalist forces these young brave hearts have burnt mid night oil and remained focused under extreme and harsh environments, studied on streets, lived in tents, and determined to excel in the life.
