| Motivation camp on self employment held | | | Jammu, Aug 10: Micro Small Medium Enterprises Development Institute, J&K , Jammu and Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), J&K , Jammu under the umbrella of Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, held two days Intensive Industrial Motivation campaign on "Self Employment Opportunities" at Block Bani, District Kathua, which concluded yesterday.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness about the various self employment opportunities , Government sponsored schemes, role of various Departments in the promotion of self employment among the unemployed youth, prominent citizens, village and block level workers of the most backward and remote blocks of Bani in district Kathua.
J&K Minister of State for Finance and Planning, J&K Government was the Chief Guest on the concluding day. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Aziz motivated the participants to come forward and take on self-employment as their carrier as there are limited opportunities for the Government jobs. He also informed the participants that J&K Government is giving due attention to the block of Bani and there will be substantial development in the Tourism and Horticulture Sector. During the programme, senior officers from various departments such as KVIB, Social Welfare, Horticulture, Handicrafts, District Industries Centre, Handloom, NABARD, Rural Development and Lead Bank made the participants aware of their schemes, policies and role in the promotion of self-employment.
Director, MSME Development Institute, J&K, Jammu , Sh. R. C. Chopra during his key- note address assured the participants that the Institute will extend all possible help to the beneficiaries in regard to setting up of their own self employment ventures including preparation of Project Report, Project Selection and Training etc.
The Programme benefited about 300 participants among whom the publicity material about the schemes of MSME and KVIC was distributed
