| 3soldiers injure in militant attacks in North Kashmir | | | Srinagar, August 10: An army Jawan was injured after suspected militants triggered a grenade blast at Gulshan Chowk in North Kashmir Bandipora Township, while another two troopers sustain bullet injuries when their jeep they were traveling in came under heavy fire at Sivan Kuligam Lolab in North Kashmir, here today.
Panic gripped entire area after unidentified persons suspected to be militants lobbed a grenade towards a patrolling party of 51 Bn BSF resulting in injuries to a jawan, sources told News Agency of Kashmir
Security forces immediately cordoned the entire area and have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen believed to be the militants fired upon a vehicle of 18 RR at Sivan Kuligam Lolab Kupwara, in which 2 jawans were injured.
Police sources said that a patrolling Jeep of RR was fired upon by the militants from nearby forests. The Jawans retaliated and launched a search operation in the area.
