A meeting of central executive body members of J&K PHE Employees Union, Jammu, was held here today under the Chairmanship of Darshan Magotra- Provincial President of the Union to discuss its future course of action in respect of the problems confronting the employees of the department.
All the members of central body criticized the state government and PHE authorities for not fulfilling the long pending demands of employees / workers. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution calling up the employees and workers to join in large number in one day protest demonstration on August 13(Monday) at PHE Sub Division Bakshi Nagar, to force the authorities to mitigate their problems.
The employees are among other things demanding disbursement of pending wages of last 25 months to Daily Wagers, issuing formal orders for uniform rate i.e. Rs.2100 pm instead of Rs.500 and Rs.980 in favour of Daily Rated Workers.
The meeting was among others attended by Darshan Mogotra, Th. Swarn Singh, Vinod Gupta, Bishamber Dass, Preetam Singh, Rajinder Singh, Sanjay Pandoh, Gulshan Kumar, Prem Nath, Sardar Surjeet Singh, Gharu Ram, Sham Lal, Mohinder Singh, Tilak Raj Sharma and Muneer.
