| JKNVSO holds massive demonstration against PHE Deptt. | | |

The activists of J&K Non-Violent Social Organization along with Corporator of Ward No.24 Arun Khanna today held a massive protest demonstration against PHE department for its failure in providing drinking water to the inhabitants of Rehari, Hari Singh Nagar, Sarwal and Janipur localities.
The protestors who were demanding adequate supply of drinking water blocked the main Rehari road for more than three hours.
The protestors alleged that the department has failed to provide drinking water to the inhabitants of these areas during the current hot summer and even did not bother to press into service the water tankers in the deficit areas.
President JKNVSO, Pankaj Sawhney while addressing the protestors said water is a basic need of human being but the present government has even failed to provide it and what to speak of other problems. He demanded that the PHE authorities should press into service more water tankers in the water deficit localities to minimize the problems confronting the people on this score.
Among others who spoke on the occasion were Sameer Bhat, Sourav Gupta, Anil Koul and Neeraj Bhat.
