| Woman crosses over to PoK, SPO killed | | |
Jammu, Aug 12: A woman is reported to have exfiltrated to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) from Poonch district while militants shot dead a Special Police Official in a remore village of Kishtwar district.
Reports said, Naseema Akhtar daughter of Mohmmad Jamal crossed over to PoK via Line of Control from Digwar area of Poonch district last night. Her family reported the matter to the police.
Meanwhile, a Special Police Officer (SPO) was today shot dead by militants in Kishtwar district.
Reports said that SPO identified as Sher Mohammad was returning home, when militants intercepted him near his village Kotal in Kuntwara belt of the district this afternoon, they said.
The ultras fired on him from close range, they said, adding he died on the spot.
His body was recovered and handed over to his family, they added.
