Two thieves arrested, stolen material worth Rs.4 lakh seized

Narwal police today arrested two thieves and recovered stolen material worth Rs. four lakhs from a Matador when they were on way to sell the same in the area.
On specific inputs a police team led by I/C PP Narwal Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Bhim Sein Tuti laid a naka in the area and during checking police stopped a Matador No JK02U/7858 and during search recovered some spare parts of vehicles valuing at about Rs. four lakhs and arrested two persons on spot. They have been identified as Narinder Sharma son of Durga Dass resident of Khanyala, Jindrah and Shallu son of Chunni Lal resident of Jindrah and took them to police station for further interrogation.
During preliminary question the duo are reported to have told police that they had stolen the said material from a Tipper No JK02H/82 at Udhampur some days back.
A case to this effect has already been registered in police station Udhampur.
