| Bhalla holds public meeting highlights achievements | | |
Jammu | Aug 12 Saying that the state under the Congress rule has witnessed all round development, senior Congress leader and MLA Gandhi Nagar Raman Bhalla has exhorted upon the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in his efforts to take the state on the new heights of progress. He was addressing a public meeting at Narwal Bala, here today. Referring to the development of the area, he said many schemes have already been completed while many more on the pipe line especially in Mohalla Shib Shakti and Mohalla Mir. He said that during the four years of coalition government the area has witnessed large scale development which includes up gradation of primary schools to middle school levels, opening of new primary schools, high school in Bathindi area and one higher secondary school in Sunjawan area. On this occasion Bhalla also announced that a filtration plant would be commissioned within next two months that would help ease the present drinking water scarcity in the area. He said that Bathindi power receiving station is also being upgraded by adding one more feeders with next one month.
