| Cartoonist Rana awarded ‘Gurkha Rattan’ award | | |

The State Gorkha Sudhar Sabha (GSS) felicitated Flt Lt (retd) Govind Singh Rana VSM for his meritorious services rendered in Indian Air Force. Sabha also honoured Km. Prerna Chhetri, D/o S.K. Chhetri being the first girl of the community selected for undergoing engineering degree course at MIET, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion President of the Sabha asked the children of the ex-servicemen to fill up their scholarship forms at an earliest, as desired by All India Gurkha Ex. Servicemen, Dehradun.
He said election for new president will be held on September 23, 2007.
Among others who also spoke on the occasion include Shanker Singh and Vijay Bohra
