Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh and President Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) called on President of India Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi and greeted her on being elected to the highest office of the Republic.
Singh extended good wishes to Patil and presented her an idol of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. He also requested her to visit the holy shrine of Shri Vaishno Devi.
While giving an audience to the functionaries of Maharana Partap Mandal a Social organization of which Thakur Randhir Singh is a member, Patil recalled her first visit to Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi along with her husband Devi Singh Shekhawat, daughter and son accompanied by Randhir Singh and his wife Kailash Rajput
